Reasons for Reaves

Reason number 9:
Wood is fire resistant.

Despite popular conception that wood buildings are at greater risk for fire destruction, wood is actually quite safe. Reaves Buildings maintain a 1-hour fire-resistive construction by fire resistance calculations.

The Douglas

Exceptional Versatility.

Used primarily for commercial and some agricultural applications, the Douglas is a totally engineered building of exceptional strength and versatility. A combination of conventional wall framing and post framing every 8' gives the Douglas extra rigidity for added strength. And it can be sheathed with any material, inside or out. Walls can even be presheathed in the factory for time savings and excellent quality control. Plus, the Douglas is engineered to withstand 90 mph winds in a C exposure and hold 20, 30 or 40 pounds per square foot of snow load. On top of this are industry safety factors. Reaves also builds to the strictest deflection criteria in the industry.
